| We Strengthen Our Fundraising and Communications Department With New Appointments
Ann Tate (pictured right) has been named as Hope and Homes for Children’s new Director of Fundraising and Communications. She joins us from the National Osteoporosis Society where she was previously Director of Fundraising.
She brings a wealth of skills and experience to the role, gained across various senior positions during a 30 year career in the charity sector. Ann has also worked for MacMillan Cancer Support, Save the Children, Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and PDSA.
Commenting on her new role at Hope and Homes for Children, Ann said:
“This is a very exciting challenge for me as I’m joining the charity at an extremely progressive and ambitious period in its 15 year history.
“Through its varied and tailored programmes – from closing orphanages in Europe to supporting AIDS orphans in Africa – Hope and Homes for Children has become a world leader in it’s field. I’m confident I can add a new dimension to its already hugely successful life changing work.”
Our Chief Executive, Rick Foulsham CMG, said:
“We’re delighted to welcome Ann to the charity. She will inject fresh ideas and talent into our organisation, helping us to continue to influence child care practices across the world.”
We are also pleased to welcome Wayne Cornish to help spearhead our press office. Wayne joins us from Cancer Research UK, where he worked for more than two years within its award winning press and PR team. Prior to this, Wayne worked as a national and regional journalist. His appointment marks a new and exciting era for Hope and Homes for Children’s Communications Department.
